Terms of Service

Short version: you must be 18 or older. Talk about whatever you like, but no sexual content, nothing illegal, and no threats or scams. Gender is self-declared, so we can’t guarantee it.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By using Strangr you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Strangr.

2. Who can use Strangr

You must be at least 18 years old. By using Strangr you confirm that you are. We will block anyone we believe is under 18.

3. What you can and can’t do

You are free to talk about almost anything. You must not:

• send sexual or sexually explicit messages, or ask others for them
• share or ask for any sexual content involving anyone under 18. We report this to the authorities.
• threaten, blackmail or extort anyone, including sextortion
• share anyone’s personal details without their consent, such as a phone number, address or photos
• scam people, ask for money, or advertise products or services
• pretend to be someone else, such as a company, an official or another person
• send spam or use bots or automated tools
• post anything else that is illegal in India, or try to hack, overload or disrupt Strangr

Sexual words are hidden automatically, but you are responsible for what you send.

4. Reports and enforcement

If someone breaks these rules, press Report. A report saves the last 10 messages of the chat for our moderators to review (see the Privacy Policy). We may warn, limit or permanently block anyone who breaks these Terms, without notice and without a refund of any unused views.

5. Strangers are strangers

You are chatting with people we don’t know and haven’t verified. Gender is self-declared and is not verified, so someone may not be who they say they are. Don’t share personal information, don’t send money, and be careful about meeting anyone in person. You are responsible for your own safety and decisions.

6. Paid view packs

• A view pack lets you use the gender filter. Each match uses one view, whichever filter you choose.
• Unused views stay linked to the browser you bought them in. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, we may not be able to restore them.
• “Unlimited” means unlimited matches for as long as the plan is active on that browser, as long as you use it fairly.
• Matches depend on who is online, so we can’t guarantee you will find someone of a particular gender at a given time.
• All purchases are final, except where Indian consumer law gives you a right to a refund, or a payment failed because of an error on our side.
• We may change our prices. A price change never affects views you have already bought.

7. Service “as is”

Strangr is provided “as is”. We try to keep it running and safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available, error-free or free of offensive users. We are not responsible for what other users say or do.

8. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, Strangr is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be handled by the courts of [City], India.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Strangr after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
